Go to Hi-Q pay £60 for a new centre box + pipe as the old one was blowing. Drive out and it is making a really loud ratling noise (like the exhaust is grinding on something, i actually looked in the mirror to see if it had fallen, off the sound was so bad). After a few mins the noise dies down. But each time the car cools then is started it is noisy again.
So i went back down to see them and they said it was a strange fit as the exhaust was close to the axle, but it is ok now, as they have altered it (i watched them, all they did was shake the back box for 5mins:mad . Drive out and it is still banging like mad. It also still sounds pretty rough if you stand behind the car and listen to it being revved then eased off, like it is still blowing. What can i do as if it is blowing it will be an MOT failure?, and the noise is so loud it is embarrising, i will be going back 2moro to see what they say, but they don't seem to helpful.
