for me to jet wash my engine bay its mingin and ive sorta started cleanin it up today, but loads of ppl said just jet wash it, is it safe to do so and is there any areas that i will need to cover and wots the best way/products to use??? any advice would be appreciated, cheers

cover up all electrics/fuses etc, I wouldn't do it personally

if you have an air filter, you may want to put a bag over it

Nah not with steam clean. I had my old GTE done cuz it was really mingin and I didn't cover anything up

get sum gunk slap it all over dont think on paint tho. cover up all electrics induction kit then give it a blast either with steam cleaner or jet wash. best leave it a while to dry then it will deffo start or start it up and it will dry quicker

ok now am i bein blonde ere, but wots "gunk" , and is steam the best or the pressure off the jet wash???

steam the best!

i u jet wash, water will get to your sprk plugs and rust them it fucks the engine up! Robs got this problem coz he has a bonnet vent and if water gets in the engine bag it fucks his spark plugs and he's gotta change them every month and his car looses power

i just jetwash mine and then just give it a good run to dry it out.then just use plastic cleaner to tart it up.just make sure you cover anything electrical or it may not start.but mines a c

There's nothing quite like a clean engine bay, , No Jet washing, just elbow grease.

Not too bad for a 7 year old car...
