i'm not paying anything at all, not in the wrong. got full support from my insurance, 1100 does seem steep but i have a copy of the work that needs doing and the A pillar(may be wrong) needs mending 2 as he bent it, meaning that in a crash it would be shite

just had a thought.....
the incident took place at karting in their car park.....even though this is a private car park do the same rules apply in terms of claiming asif it was on a road? - sorry, that isnt worded very well

I don't see why it would be different.

The way I see it, he's liable for his actions whether it's in a car park or on a public road.

Can anyone confirm this?

Does the karting-place have CCTV? If so, it may be worth asking them if they still have a copy of the tape...

quick update: Got a phone call from his insurance comp today sayin they accept full liability and will get it sorted asap, gave me a number to ring and now they claim that it was a mistake and my now ex m8 has told them a story that i reversed after him and turned at an angle and he had no time to react.
apparently passenger witness statements dont count so i have 4 witness, he has none

ttt, 8 weeks today and i finally have the result i have been waiting for! after twat boy lied to his insurance comp i thought it was the final straw so got a solicitor involved....its funny how they (his insurance comp) accept everything once i do that isnt it lol.
Cars going to vauxhall on monday to be mended, only bummer is that i'm without it for a week
I am just going to laugh at this ex mate of mine, especially as he told his insurance comp that i had many engine mods that i hadnt declared......on a 1.2, i dont think so bud lol....any way, just thought i would let you know

Result mate. I know it must suck being respnosible for an accident and losing no claims etc, but if its your fault then its your fault. Glad your 'mate' got caught out for being a lying bastard!

inform your insurance, give them his details, then its up to him/his insurance what they do. If you are 100% sure its not your fault it wont effect your NCB or future insurance
