for the focus rs it says 134mph and 7.9 0-60
shouldnt the clio be a lot faster as it weighs fuck all and gets even lighter as it gets faster as bits fall off?
i suggest you check the figs again as the focus RS is much quicker than that

Think the clio 0-60 is 7.4 and tops out at 137mph.
I.e the 2.0 corsa should pip it to 60mph and both should be about the same top end.

Oh, difference as well
2.0 16v Clio on throttle bodie kit comes to about 220bhp.
A 190+bhp TB 20XE would beat that though.

They've used the corsa air box, not the XE box. That would not fit.

Nahh that was Desmonds.
This is from a few years previous.
Clue, Max Pooper featured, rear discs, Courtenay converted, used to be a 1.5 diesel till it went bang and vauxhall forked out the ££ (which was used on the XE conversion).

There is a 1.2 version that has Sport badges. Only the Cup has a 172 badge on it. The 172 just says 2.0l 16v on the doors.

You sure it was diesel? I am pretty sure in the feature it says it was a GSi.
I'll dig out the magazine. L100RSA
