I want a 1.8 Sri, i can afford to buy one, and can afford to insure it with direct line, but the insurance on my current car doesn't run out until november and they (liverpool victoria) wont insure me on a 1.8 under my dad's name.

Well I got 2 policies and just said I got 2 yrs NCD on them, but thats across both of them. Cant he just say its full cos theres nothing on a certificate to say otherwise

Also when I was on my dads policy at 17 with a GSi - £500 he claimed to have full NCD too

Group 9? is that all?

thought 1.4 16v's were group 6 and Gsi's were group 10???

surely a 1.8 sri is higher than group 9
