What is actually powder coating? is it the same as paint?

Thinking of getting it done.

is a coating of powder appiled at high heat, mine are painted, but powder coating will be more hard wearing

White on a white car would look shite IMO. Go for anthracite (sp) or black

Poweder coating is where the metal has an electrical charge passed though it. This causes the metal to gain static electricity. The metal is sprayed with polyureathane particles which stick to the item as it is charged with static electricity. The item is heated and the plastic melts onto the metal.
It is a lot harder wearing than paint, and takes a lot more work to scratch and scuff the wheel up... But you could still curb it up pretty easy...

Mine were powdercoated; a very cheap way of making something different. £130 in total mine cost to do
