had this problem for ages, im talking over good year 
on my corsa B gsi 1994
wen the car is still and i turn the wheel i somtimes get a sort of "mooo" sound come from the steering wheel area(i think)
it doesnt sound mechanical, sounds more electrical which is why i think its related to the horn??
ive also replaced the whole horn button on the wheel too!
wat could it be????

im sure its comming from in the car and sounds "electrical"!!!
im gonna try to disconnect the horn for few days and see if it happens then i wil know if it is the horn??

its weird, only happens from time to time and only when the car is still, e.g during a 3 point turn etc....

Its deffo the steering rack , mine does exactly this.
If u want it to go u need a new (PAS in my case) rack, but i have been told not to bother by the garage as its a lot of money to stop a squeak.

Whole new steering rack!!! how much would that cost?
are you sure thats the problem, its not really a squeak, more of a high pitched "mooo"!!!
and i can swear it coms from "in" the car somwere??

loads of vauxs do this. saomething to do with the power steering pump. Nthing to worry about
