i've recently bought a set of clocks from someone on this forum (Keith Piper) .

but they read 80k and my cars only done 60k, i've tried to put em back but i cant figure it out. could anyone Pm me how its done?

dont think you will get any answers here mate as the topic will get trashed straight away

this is due to it being illegal to "clock" cars

maybe something on google so try on there

To alter the mileage isnt illegal.
To make a potential buyer think a car has done less miles than it has is illegal!

just go to a reputable garage and show them both sets of clocks before you swap them over. they will do you a letter saying new clocks fitted with before and after mileage.
tis what i did, and done it before when some digi clocks on my 306 failed and peugot fitted some new one under warranty.

no you can do it, but not telling abody you happen to sell the car onto is illegal

you can turn the clocks back or forward when there not on a car, its not illegal because your not deceiving anyone.

if you want to turn it forward, the easiest way, will mechanical clocks, it to attatch a drill to the end of the speedo cable, and leave it running

takes fucking ages, drill on full speed is like doing 100 miles an hour

just take the screws out and move the digits, easy

wot about if u take the screws out and then swap the millage bit from the old one to the new one, wouldn't this work. i went into vauxhall today and asked and they said u can't change the milliage on mechanical speedo's wot do they know.
