Good for legs Im guessing - I love doin those High Kicks - purely cause they look good. Wouldnt use them in a situation tho.
I did Karate too - bloody hated it. Then tried Taekwondo and liked it, then started Kung Fu and Tai Chi - dropped Tai Chi for Kung Fu tho (twas ok tho cause was same teacher)

Not only for legs, your taught boxing as well as its a major part. As well as using Knees, elbows, your head but theres no real floor work covered (Which is where most streetfights end up). You learn to kick with your shins as opposed to kicking with your feet as in karate. Hurts a damn site more but more effective
As a standing fighting sport, its still one of the ebst i think. You ever watch the K1 on the sports channels. Amazing fighting.

I did Lau Gar Kung Fu for about 3 years before I went to Uni......a very good mix of both syllabus and useful real-life self-defence (ie. streetfighting & bar-brawling). Used to love the sparring, but used to get warned for using full-contact not semi-contact!

I do submission fighting, not done it for that long, about 13months but really getting into it. I have tried other stuff but this really gets me going, and it helps when you need it. Its mostly on the floor combat, but we do stand up sparing too
