Running ps2 off it (50w) the guy in technical support for maplin said can run continuouse for about 5 hours np, and when i run it the invertor gets to its peak temp in about 20min which is 55 c and then the warning tone comes on and it shuts off, anyone had this with invertors? can someone tell me a better place to buy them that work ok, it also has an additional scrw on the back of the invertor u have to earth to the chasis, i earthes that to the bodywork of the carusing an old earth cable from a power cord, the green and yellow 1s, could it be anything to do with that ? the invertor was just reduced to 15 quid from 30, prolly just shite,

where di du buy 1 from and is it ok? , i also have my TV running from the cig lighter aswell maybe they are taking too much power? na, the screens wired up behind the lighter then fused (3amp), then the cig lighter plug bit re joined to the wires and plugged into the cig lighter

it will only tend to use the power the appliance needs, plus prob about 20% due to how in efficent inverters are.

So.... no, won't use more power unless you plug more stuff into it!

Dean, does the 300w require direct linkage to the battery?

and did u mount the ps2 in the glove box? if so what did u have to do to get it to fit!

had to cut the glovebox at the arse and cut down bout 5cm each side at the top to slide it in also cut a hole for the cables to run out....

u can run it to battery or ciggerette lighter cos u have 2 sets of cables
