Vauxhall figures for 1.2 16v is 106, road test of the Opel 1.2 16v Corsa from Auto Bild (Germany) got 108 mph with proper timing gear. With the older long gear ratios of the older Corsa B 1.2's you'd not get that high a top speed though, kinda like tryna ride a mountain bike up a hill in the largest gear, not enough power to for it. Hence the C's have low ratios.

Even the NA does 0-60 in 7secs....178 BHP...hardly be described as slow...when comparing with a what?? 75 BHP Corsa?

How can you compare a Corsa with 75 bhp top an MR2 anyway, you might as well compare an MR2 to a 7.5 tonne truck, and like the Corsa has lots more room for hair styling equipment than an MR2.
