A few people have suggested doing this as the linkage fits better, I assume you exploit the play in the rubber hanging section that bolts to the floorpan but the engine stays pretty much where it would be with the spacer?

That way the linkage mount is moved but there are no other side-effects?

I spoke to Beardy briefly on the phone he told me to get a Corsa one not a Calibra one! Obviously a step in the right direction!!

i suppose if ya do everything up to that stage then see waht needs to be done to the mounting.

the lads are always say "its easy" so there cant be that much to it.

just as easy to fit the spacer and extend linkage than grind part of the mount away

I'm prefering fitting the spacer to not as I'm sure the mount sitting slightly off centre isn't the best thing - the linkage appears to require modification whichever!
