can anyone help me im debadging my 51reg SXi and i cant get the god dammn glue off any sugetions i have been to halfords and got 4 types or tar and grime remover and it dont work................ thanx Adam

petrol, let it soak in then rub it off, then t-cut, or i found that dry cleaning chemical worked a treat(wierd dont ask how i found out it worked) but i doubt ud get any of that! get a rubber on it aswell to get rid of the last bits!

lighter fluid always worked for me, it literally melts the glue like substance without damaging the paint! fantastic stuff!

depends how old ur car is doesnt it.
my mates 04 just peeled off.
where as my 51 was a pain. took days. i used a steamer. then leather to rub it off

Just debadged my car - corsa b. peeled it off using a ruler, rubbed the excess off with a dry cloth, then t-cutted it.
smooth as a babys bottom.

u can also use a bit of fishin wire and rub it up and down until the badge comes off. I've never used this method but apparently it works well. I used the rubber/t-cut/elbow grease method !!

didn''t even need a cloth with mine, just used a phone card and then picked the rest off with what nails i had

A bit of T-Cut later and bobs yer mother's brother.

Looks good now.

i used a hair dryer to warm the glue, then rubbed it off with my thumb. did the side strips of a cavalier like this. i used rubbing compound from halfords to get tiny wee last bits.

side strips up to a certain year maybe 1997 were held on just with double sided tape, not sure after this date though
