It's a old screen i know but ive just got one for silly money but i have a problem...
the wiring loom ive got is a brand new one, the power plug for the screen unit has 6 holes, but only 3 are filled, on the unit it's self there is 6 pins (one for every hole)
the unit wont power up at all, ive grounded the handbreak wire, all feeds are there
when the reset button is pressed on the unit, the buttons will light up for a second, then dim out
my question is does anybody have any ideas why it's doing this? and
Does anybody have a wiring diagram or knowledge of what wires (colours) are ment to be in the 6 pin plug for the kvc-1000
the unit has just been fully refirbished, so it shouldnt have any faults, (hopefully)
cheers in advance,
ric.

You need a cable with all 6 pins.
The wires needed are as follows for that loom:
Green - Parking sensor
Orange - Illumination control
Red - Ignition live 12v +
Yellow - Permanent live 12+
Black - Ground cable
White/Red - Master switch cable.
The WHITE/RED cable MUST be connected to ground (negative feed) if you arent using the KTC1000R/A907, otherwise the unit WONT operate at all.

sorry mate, maybe i didnt make it clear in the first post, i know the colours, i just needed to know the locations of the colours, in the plug, as such,
Sorted now though, just incase it comes in handy:
positions:
-
RED BLACK ORANGE
YELLOW NONE GREEN
If your useing the hideaway box, you dont need the White/Red, Wire, it just causes a BUS-e50 error
Ta, though Richie
