I'm fairly technical but i can't get round this one...
My mates got a laptop that is now wriddled with pop-ups they aren't detected by Virus software and we can't find them on the PC but they have loaded on to the hard drive and when ever he is on the net the pop ups start sometimes 14-20 at a time. I could install a pop up stopper but i want to get rid of them for good... will they be in Regedit? if so where about do you think they'll be? Anyone got any ideas? Ta

ad aware - freeware download it will scan and remove spyware that makes pop ups
