how mucho for new ones so i dont have to clean mine b4 a paint them?

would be a lot quicker and easier to use a wire brush on yours.
new ones arent cheap as they are a thing that should never need to be changed.
mine are on 147k and still got loads of life left.

just thought it would be easier to get new ones if they were cheap. it would let me paint them and would mean i would just have to swap them over rather than take them off clean them up and then refit. means i aint got me car for a couple of days. i nite to clean and stick on a coat of hamerite then anothert coat next mornin tthen one that nite, nite even rub em down to get real good finish so so all have to leave them over nite. thats two nite wif out me car

no no, thats just a stupid way of doing it, paint them on the car like everyone else does.
just go over them with a wire brush and some 40 grit sand paper, clean with bit of thinners then paint with hammerite.
no point trying too get a really good finnish cos as soon as they get hot the paint will start too bubble anyway. it wont stay smooth for very long unless you never drive it and its a show car.

oh, stick 2 wheel nuts in, take the handbrake off and that makes the job a lot easier too.
in this weather it will be dry in an hour.

to be honest i just cant be arsed findin the time to do it just now. needs done tho mite just do it this weekend. still think take em off to clean and can check brakes at same time

i have just redone my rear drums, i bought new drums and painted them when i put them on, greast thing is with hammerite they are never ever gonna rust
