Just looked at the letter i got last Sat from the Halifax and interest is based on how much you have in your account. All depends what account you are after, probably best having a chat with someone from your local bank

I'm with TSB and there online services are quality. I opened a online saver and it allows me to have 4% interest which i thought was good.
I have had no problems with them.
