Nah I doubt its only £500, other than wiring & fitting kit why would he charge £1.5 K for a C20XE in that case? Would be at least a grand from LM style i'd imagine, I certainly wouldnt charge as little as £500 for a X16XE....

Same engine mounts etc as on a 1.4 16v (which it is) I can't see it being that costly to be honest

Yeah that what i was thinking, could even have the same engine put in, and re-use everything which is in the car, wouldn't cost much at all would it ?
