Hi peops, this engine can out put 150 BHP giving a 0 - 60 in an average of 6.5 seconds. is it possible to get this car down to the 5 second bracket or even to the 4 second bracket????? any advice would be appreciated on what mods to use and what performance enchancement in seconds and BHP they give

IF you got the cash you can get 200bhp... This would involve using TB's and new engine management. IF you want the car to be seriously fast, then I'd recomend fitting a LET in, as you get 200bhp in to start with, that'll set you back about £3k, instead of £1.5k for the XE (but you'd need to spend about £1-2k for the TB's)

standard engine will be 7-7.5 secs to 60.

stuyw i was told the 2.0 litre red top will do 0 - 60 in 6.5 seconds, where you get your figures from?

cant get 6.5 from a standard XE m8
7-7.5 secs is correct figures

so what type of throttle bodies can be obtained for this conversion????? everywhere i look shows different types..... any idea or what site to look at for buying them?

i did a 7.0 at donny south last year on 17's camping stuff, 3 set of brakes in the boot, loads if ICE and beer cooler with 24 in etc etc

yeah, and daimo got a 6.2 PMSL!!!!
With F16box its easy possible 0-60in 6.5

i cant get power down on mine just spins so im gettin lsd to try stop it cant evern get a proper power reading cos it spins on rollers too

Luckb's old corsa had 250bhp on tb's and was stripped out and managed 4.92 0-60, so it is possible with the right mods, dos'nt come cheap though.
