Hi guys,
Just put on my induction kit on my day off.....its the Powertec sl1x for the corsa C...the thing is huge
Disconnected the battery for bout an hour, reconnected, and started the car no problems...didnt sound as though it was recalibrating it self....but i wasnt sure what to listen for.
Anyway, took it for a spin all went well, took it for a spin today all went well again until i parked up. Then i went to start the car again and the mechanical sign on my dash light up and started flashing! The car would tick over but not start.
So i popped the bonnet open, and disconnected the plug that connects to the pipe JUST AFTER the induction kit and reconnected it. The car then started....??????
Im not sure what going on here, anyone had this problem before? What could it be?
Im sure its all fitted correctly, can put some pictures up if anyone wants to gander....
thanks for your help.
regards

Do u mean turn over but not start?
I think if its flashing it means the immobiliser hasnt been deactivated

if it had a fault code recorded it would stay on - not flash

Well the immobiliser chip is IN the key....so how could it be this? Ive never ever had this problem before....
Also i phoned vauxhaul and powertec, they said on newer cars like the corsa C you do NOT need to disconnect the battery as the ECU recalibrates itself on its own.

yep i agree i had this once for no apparent reason and my car wouldnt start but funnily enough it happened after i'd had a flat battery and jump started my car and if u disconnected the battery maybe its somethin to do with that. Mine has been fine ever since just left it for 5 mins and no probs starting this was over a year ago
