Well it aint gone he never took it said he wanted a car that he would not have to do anything with so its still here I am maybe looking at getting a 2k loan and keeping the car, I am basically looking at my options I was very sad last night even thinking it was going but lets just see what happens I hope I dont have to sell at this present moment and maybe I can finnish the bodywork get my cream leather interior in and my install, thanks for the thread anyway nice touch Neil

keep ure car mate !!! i love it !! and besides we all have debt problems !! me !!!! keep ure head up mate ure young and need to enjoy life !! jyust get on wiv it !!!!!! it will all be alrite in the end !!!!!!

Probably because I have been so p!ssed pff with things going wrong with it and I am just waiting for the next thing if I got 4k I could pay off debt and shot 2.5k in the bank and towards a car hopefully worth 7k next June July time I dunno matye I just dont know if I am selling I am so in the middle its unreal one minute I wanna just get rid then I want it

alot of your problems have come from the engine fitting  , mine has only really had the gearbox fail (i suspect that was maybe sabotage).
the oil leak is hopefully cured now and soon the water leak aswell. the belts that snapped should have been replaced before the engine went in tbh, i hope the timing belt was changed aswell.
i would think about keeping it as your problems must be nearing an end now, allowing you to just enjoy it.

I hope I dont mate I think the oil cooler was the last straw not just with me but my Dad was not impressed by all the oil, I am just sick of shelling out money on a car I am paying £1100 insurance on its totally none cost effective when it could be sold, hopefully this is the end of it and I might give it a month and see what comes of it like I say I asked paddy and he told me the timing belt was changed but I dont have a reciept for it so I dont know what to do mate for the best if that went I would be absolutely gutted that would just wreck the engine

i wouldn't have fitted the oil cooler to start with,they are prone to leaking.
has it stopped leaking now?
if you take the timing belt cover off you should be able to see if it's pretty new or old (old belts look worn and cracked). if it needs doing my m8 will probably do it for you pretty cheaply.

Ok mate I will have a look tomorrow if I remember, the engine has stopped leaking completely now apart from one place not sure what that is but I have some ramps here and I want to get under the car and give it a damn good clean with someone whiolst waxoiling the bottom of the whole car, this should enable me to find any leaking places straight away, the engine needs a damn good clean to

mine has a small drip from the sump which is quite common on valvers. i've been told it can be stopped with a different sump gasket though.

I had one and I tightened it with a socket and now its absolutely spot on mate
