anyone insured a sport 1.4 as a first car? how much did it cost you etc?

im after a 1.4 as my first car but if insurance is out of the question i may have to opt for a 1.2

2nd question> how old are you and how much does it cost to insure your 1.4?

mine was £1500 2 insure on an S plate. no mods at all and im 21

i'm on my dad's with a 1.4 with alloys,bodykit,tints,ice all declared - £1007 a year

2nd year driving, had 2 claims, 1.4 sport s reg is £1540

my 1.4 sri cost me 960 f/c @ 19 with 1years ncb

then 920 @ 20 with 2 years ncb and 3 points for speeding.

thats with alloys and suspension with norwich union

i have a 1.4i 16v Corsa C Twinport, im 19 and had my driving licence for 2 years, 1years n.c , i just asked for a quote through elephant.co.uk with my blacked out windows, aftermarket sports front bumper, induction kit, exhaust declaired, and it came out as £680...... bargin.....

My SRi costs me £620 FC a year al mods delcared at 21 with 4 years no claim, just renewed yesterday! LOL Thats with CIS

i pay stupid amount cos of my postcode!!

i was getin quotes of 3k for my 1.4 8v!
im paying 1500 on dads name now!

cheers guys-going to fone/see insurance broker on wednesday so il see what they qoute me
