I got to work this morning after being off on friday and found that my boss had been on my computer.....and read my emails. there was one in particular to and from my brother that i would rather my boss didnt see (it ended in telling hime to fuck off)
He still hasnt seen me yet....roll on this afternoon

dont have personal emails at work then if you dont want them to get read!
I have access to every bodys emails in the company even the MD's.

Yer but are you talking about private e-mails which are your "work account" one?
Cos they might be allowed to do that... seen as tho it is their e-mail account!

Is illegal I have access to all of AXA's user mail acconts and have to have permission to view them, other wise Dell could be taken to court.

No i mean if you use like outlook or something like that it is their e-mail.
I use Novell Group for our college but people have to know the password to get into my e-mails.

IF they are titled Private and Confidential then you arent allowed to read them under the Human Rights act, something about everyone being entitled the right to send a suitable amount of personal emails during works time.
But I dont think it says anything about works accounts, as Jase and TNM said, people can look at your mail willy nilly, but there is a rule about your boss being able to read your emails.

I got a verbal warning to cut it down... so i did "a bit" but then got another one so cut it down "a bit" more.... few days later i had my P45
Didnt like the job anyway!
