my p45 was sent to sheffield, 100 mile away to a house were i used to live
what if i dont have1 when getting a job?? cant bearsed going to get it as its proble been thrown out!

You can re-apply for it i think or get in touch with your employer and they should re issuse it

Yeah, but if the new employers are like me they will put you on a BR code so all your new earnigns are taxed @ 22% until you provide a P45 at which point you will get the overpaid tax back... I do it to make sure people actually bother getting one As its a pain if they don't

This happend to me.
i produced my p45 to work a week after starting and they still stuck me on BR code... 8 weeks later am still sitting on theis br code getting taxed to fuck!
any ideas how to stop the tax? as i have gave them the p45 and they ahve sed its been sent off..but i fone the tax office and they sed there is no record of me being working.

Speak to them... maybe they didn't send the P45 off or lost it... not that I'd ever do anything like that :$

Go down to your local Inland Revenue office with a current payslip, your copy of the p45, and also your NI number. they should be able to sort it if your employer is mucking you about.

No you get it back as soon as you go onto a normal tax code... PAYE is a cumulative thing so you would just pay less tax in that month

i'm not sposed tobe getting taxed the now anyway...and as it stands they have taken over 200 quid in tax from moi.
