Would I need any arch work to fit 7 x 18" et 45 onto a corsa c (2003) sri

I disagree, and i think other people with the Irmscher rear skirt will too. My 17's rub on the bottom of the skirt where comes towards the tyre at each edge, when i put 18's on mine it was soo close that it rubbed with just me in the drivers seat.

MY 17's rub slightly, but only with people in the back when i hit a bump hard, you shouldn't really have a problem, and also you will have stiffer shocks because its an Sri
