im a trainee surveyor at the mo money is poor work is poor.
want a hands on job ie plumbing i have no experience in that field
i am computer minded i can build repair and mod pc's too!
i know this site aint a job seekers site just wondering if any1 has any useful links for jobs in this kind of field.

good money in surveying when your qualified isn't there? Plumming can be decent money if you go alone but everyones clued up and gone into work like that so you NEED to be good and build up your contacts - running your own business also has risks

this is highway surveys not so good so i want something that im interested in even a mechanic as long as i come out with something at the end of it like a qualification!

Trade jobs seem to be the way forward these days if your young and not frightened of hard/long work and perhaps taking a gamble and starting on your own......my boss is evidence of this......multi multi millionaire, I am a surveyor and yes the tradesmen make more than me!

yeah tel me about it i mean i once spent 1 whole week trimming paper for the surveyors on site, i mean it wasnt even goin to the client so it didnt have to look good!fcuking people!

yeah i understand that mate but they just keep saying its due to go up and all that but nothing ever comes of it i even chase it up every 5 mins! nothing just looking for a change was just lookin at some web designing job andbody in this kinda work whats it like?

What are you on as a trainee??? You gotta expect any training/apprentice job to be low wages!

Yes you will find that you get fucked off with the shite tasks no one else wants......being honest if I had a trainee id fuck him off with all the shite jobs aswell
If you find a good, well paying job where you dont do any shit jobs or have to work too hard........let me know please

There is plenty of money in surveying mate! Just depends on who you work for & what industry?!?
Ive been working as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor for about 3 1/2 years now & Im on quite good money now
It was shite when I started tho

I did the Nat Cert & have just finished my 1st year on the HNC
College is wank, but once u have got the Nat Cert u should be looking around £15-20k
Have a nosey around on a couple of construction recruitment websites, it gives u an idea of what jobs are out there & also what cash
As a qualified QS in house building in my area I would be looking at £30k+
