Got a standard engined 1.4 16v sri....

Thinking of getting:
Mild steele 4-2-1 manifold
Mild steele de-cat pipe
Mild steele full system

This is all made by sportex.

Dont want comments on telling me its a sh*t make or go for s/s, all I want to know is what etc bhp gain I will get.

To my knowledge standard 16v SRi is 90bhp.

Am thinking 100/105bhp. Right or wrong??

Cheers.

realisticly u will get maybe 5-8bhp from all that but its not just power the engine revs more freely with 4-2-1 manifold so you gain in other areas too like the drivability becomes different

superchip was first on his engine. then he got a uni chip as the superchip was no very good. he kept the superchip as it raised the rev limit where as the uni chip dont. id say you will be looking at mid to high 90Bhp say 96-98bhp. have you not thought about getting an inlet first?

cause it is mild steel it won't flow as well as stainless so I recon about 8-9hp if your lucky. standard car runs 89hp

So am looking at final result of roughly 100bhp at a cost of £350. what are your views on value for money then? Like above dont want to hear, buy s/s or sh*t make. Only reason am trying to spend as little as poss is that am just off a ban and particularly dont want to have a corsa but as my insurance is crippling at the mo its the only 1/2 decent kind of car that affordable. Cheers.

100bhp if your lucky.

Why wont mild steel flow as well?

Never heard of a sportex manifold either.

Spend the money on a velos inlet instead. Much more bang per buck.

£350 for a manifold, full system and de-cat pipe!

Your probably looking at a power loss!
