Does anyone know how hard it is to replace a big end bearing on a MR2 mk2?

think you need the whole set inc shells and not sure if youll need new caps and bolts

i am not planning on taking it to a garage to be done, i would do it myself. Have been looking around for a project car ,and foung a cheap MR2 with 90000 miles on clock with big end bearing shot, but perfect body wise. Would do a re-build on the engine.

gonna cost abit, you can do the big end without removing the engine, but the head needs to come off, and the rods have to come out, you will need a complete set of big end bearings and new rod bolts.. however there is always the possibiltiy that a journal on the crank is marked, and would need re-polising or re-ground

how much would it cost to get reground, and rough price of new bearings and bolts?
