I've got a very slow puncture in my rear left tyre... The other day (after not driving for a few days) I noticed my tyre was flat and I checked the pressure and it was at 2 PSI lol...
Pumped it up to 30 PSI, was fine... checked the next day, it was 27 PSI, the next day about 24/25 PSI... etc
So it is de-inflating... but really really slowly.
I don't really want to get a new tyre as its my rear wheel and I'd have to replace both to get even tread.
Someone said about those kits which are used to repair punctures, which you spray into the tyre - then inflate it or something and it fills the gaps...
Would this work? and are there any downsides to this?
Thanks,
Paul J

Yes, you use that tyreweld to get you home if you get a puncture, the tyre is then a writeoff so to speak

how much would that cost adam? I think it was caused by me kerbing it slightly against the same kerb twice in 2 days so it could be it needs to re-sealed.

tyreweld is only meant to be used to get you home sort of thing if you don't have spare..not to run about on all the time.

Take it to a tyre place and asked to get it plugged. 2 or 3 quid unless there wankers

if u kerbed it - and broke the seal around the tyre - just take it to any tyre place - get them to check for punture, if it is the seal - remove it - refit and deal - balance - job done

Yeah, unless the hole is in the tyre wall, it will prob be repairable.

Try and take it to an independant tyre place other than ATS etc. The big places usually have a set price for repairs like that whereas the smaller places will charge a few £ here and there.
Last one i went to said no charge but i gave the monkey who did it a fiver

be careful of driving on a puncture, it actually causes damage cuz u end up stretching the hole thats their which will eventually mean new tyre time!
Tyreweld is really on a temporary measure and wont cure it....just get it patched up at ur local tyre place and away u go!

Yes, they put a rubber plug with a grommit on the end from the inside end, so that the plug never comes out, then its sealed in. This can be done in most cases unless the puncture is on the edge tread on the tyre then it can't be repaired
