Im have a corsa (xe) and one of the left front wheel bearings ceased on it, damaging the hub. I have to get a new hub machined.
I am also about to do a rear disc conversion. I was thinking of fitting 5 stud hubs (im already using re-drilled 288mm) and using 5 stud rear vectra brakes to match.
Has anyone seen this done on a corsa?
Would a pedal box be my best option for a master cylinder, in order to get a proper balance.
Is a pedal box overkill for an everyday machine?

Dunno, depends on if you can get hubs for a corsa with five studs that are the same shape etc.
I would imagine that the pcd is a bit bigger for 5 studs, even maybe vauxhalls?

Im currently carrying out a five stud hub modification to my corsa, I am also running a 2.0l and rear disks, heres what I did,
Modified astra GTE front hubs to fit the corsa obviously, sourced some rear disk assemblies from a cav,
I then consulted a material scientist who specialises in welding/fusing metals, with his advice and guidence, I then had the holes in the hubs welded up in a five stage proccess.
Then I had them CNC machined, skimming the faces and re machining the bolt hole pattern.
When welding the hubs, they were bolted to a huge piece of copper bar which acted as a 'heat sink' in order to draw the heat away from the parts, otherwise they would get far to hot, its also important to protect the bearing surfaces from spatter.
Im fitting the car with 19X8 rims and I could only source the wheels with a 5X100 PCD.
Hope this helps,
Will

blurrr seems like a rite load of hassle...
john i have checked around here and a few other places when i was upgrading to V6 brakes on the front and there doesnt seem to be anyone using a bigger master cylinder cos theres feck all room for anything bigger to fit.
even m-tech in holland and v-tuning in the uk didnt know if anything else that would fit and they said there was no need either

wheels arent a problem, Im gonna get the 5 stud vectra hubs machined down, and then just fit the rear stub axle assembly from the same 5 stud vectra, and see what happens then.
if she is a bit tail happy, il fit some 5 stud drums from a 2.0dtl vectra
Il be doin this in the next few weeks, il let ye know how i get on.
