Im trying to run a small batch file, but not really too good with dos!

xcopy c:\EW_32b\CSV /e/y x:\Energy Monitor Backup

Basically, the cvs folder and all its contents needs to be backed up to the server every hour!

you may find it wont recognise the underscore.

xcopy c:\EW_32b\CSV\*.* x:\ bla bla bla

do a dir/p in c:\ to see what is calls the EW_32b folder.

xcopy c:\EW_32b\CSV\*.* /e/y "x:\Energy Monitor Backup"

xcopy is still based on 8.3 filenames, and if your running straight in dos - files will only be copied with the 8.3 filename also, not the LFN

If your in windows & use the above command, it will use LFN's, but you still need to put X:\Yababaaa wooo in speechmarks so it KNOWS to keep the LFNs, or it will say invalid paremeters like you got before
