...from other models of car- which will fit my standard front bumper (B)? anyone else taken this route? did it look good>?

no its a splitter not an apron, an apron is when its moulded over the existing bumper, a splitter is usually bolted underneath the bumper

just buy a new splitter from seat, they are only 20 pound. u can fit it yourself if u have alot of patience too.
am gona be buying another ibiza gti splitter soon cos mine is all scratched from bloody speed bumps.

should have checked ebay mate, i just got an irmscher splitter for 57 quid inc p and p
