getting some new brakes dont have money for v6 ones but can someone just confirm a few things:-
my standatd brakes on a 1994 1.2 8 valve are 236mm
astra gte brakes and calipers are 256mm
these mk2 astra gte discs and calipers are a straight swap

As far as I know yes they are. When I get my ATE calipers i'm going to do a 'How To' in a couple of days time.

i would suggest u get some braided hoses for them and i recomend TOMAS of this site to get them.

make sure you put them on the correct side, bleed nipple at the top.

because ure usign bigger brakes that were not really designed for ure master cylinder the brake pedal will fell a bit spongy with the normal rubber hoses.
braided hoses are hoses that have been braided in wire. these take alot of the spongynes out of the equation.

no they aren't they are the same as a corsa gsi, they use the narrower discs and the delco calipers

around 30-40 quid depending on were ya get them and they are a easy enough to fit. just have to be carefull not to damage the breakpipe at the disasembly stage

yeh they are but dont be fooled. there is 2litre 8v and 2 litre 16V versions.
the ones yer looking for is the 16V ones
just go down the the scrappie and look an aul rotten astra GTE and take them off that.

carriers presume are the brackets u'd take this off the car in the scrappie with the calipers in one whole piece.
u would need difference ones if u intended on putting brembos on yer corsa.
i changed the front brakes on my 1.2 8v merrit piece of crap to v6 ones.
old ones off.....new ones on....... bleed them and that was it
