6k actually is pretty good for one thats so dry - The average for a dry one is 8-9k that needs no work, 7k would get you a dry as a bone van that needs tidying or some mechanicals for the MOT. Obviously you can pick them up at all sorts of prices but you really do get what you pay for with these.

No Robbo you are most defianately not alone on this. What annoys me more is the fact that everyone cant stand to hear negative comments about this van thing. I know enough about cars to know what i do and dont like, this i do not like. Just because i dont like it or appreciate it doesnt mean i dont know anything How naive is that........... I'd rather have spent £6k on something else.

What you dont seem to understand here is that i dont mind people having negative comments. I wasnt questioning your knowledge on cars anyhow, i was questioning your knowledge on this particular model. So no, its not naive in the least..........

Maybe you didnt understand when i said "maybe you dont know enough about them" you assumed it was a dig at you? It was simply stating a fact, if you knew the correct market value of classic VW's in various models, years and stages then you probably wouldnt call it 'stupid money'

Personally im glad everyone doesnt like them coz people like me would be able to afford one even more so.

Ben.
