Has anyone ordered/ bought anything from these two retailers?

Illusion Autostyle
or
PVD ?

I ordered a total of £2273.76 in gear from both of these sites on the 30th June 2004 and have been having a lot of trouble getting the stuff!

Illusion Autostyle claims to deliver in 2-5 days; I have managed to get a:

bodykit (without mesh or a fitting kit),
an exhaust,
lowering springs,
M3 wing mirrors (which were manual and NOT electric as ordered)
and neon lights (which were the wrong colour and smashed!)

I am still waiting on:
a Bonnet
Mesh and fitting kit for the bodykit...

When I fone them (if they decide to answer) all I get is excuses and promises that the remainder of the order will be delivered 'tomorrow' and it never does.

This is still unresolved...

As for PVD - I ordered a set of 17" Arospeed RSGT Silver finish alloys with Avon low profiles and locking wheel nuts. The order was placed on the 30th June 2004.

On the PVD site you can only order over the fone, so I was sure when the order was placed. They said that the wheels were in stock - so it would be 1-2 days for delivery.

The money for the wheels was taken on the 1st of July. Since then I have contacted sales staff at PVD who kept telling me that the order wasn't on the computer system and therfore wasn't processed - NOT TRUE.

When I told them that I had been charged, I have since been messed around by claims that "We have to find the paper the order was taken on first..."

And now when I try to phone them all I get is the line ringing off - it appears to be that either they are on holidays (past week) or they have shut up shop

This post is basically asking for reassurance that both these suppliers are legitimate and that I have been a one-off case of poor customer service, and hopefully someone can shed some light on whether PVD are still trading or not?

Thanks guys!

Hammy

I tend to just pay for it on credit card, then transfer the money across from my bank account once I receive the goods. much safer, but I suppose you dont want to hear that now.

I spoke to my bank this morning, and as far as they know/think I should be able to get my money back because it was purchased through the Visa Department. Thank fcuk!

I appreciate the quick response from everyone in the message board regarding all this! If no-one had replied I would still be thinking that PVD were merely on holidays or something

Again, much appreciated!

BTW: what is the general concensus on http://www.midlandstyling.co.uk/ and Anton002?
