dont be so scared of the Cat D thing m8, a car like that has probebly had the repair done professionally and u will be very hard pushed to find a car like that which doesnt have a history!!!!
However in light of the car dealers attitude to u i wud have been put off after the first confrontation cuz peeps like that dont deserve to sell a car!

Feck that, anthing that is on the hpi register isnt worth a wank imo, resale well be hassle, and you never quite know how bad the damage was and more importantly how good the reoair was.
Feck the normally aspirated get a tubby, u know it makes sense
