to run 2 subs, i need a 2 channel amp yeah? just checkin cus i'm all confused at the mo.

not really, a mono will power 2 subs fine with the correct impedance.

2 channel amps are usually used for full range speaker sets, as having the 2 channels lets you fade the sound left to right, with only a mono channel you cant fade....
Thats not a problem for a sub tho.....

If you're running a pair of subs one channel is better than two. If there's only one channel, both subs are always going to be doing the same thing and working together. If you put a sub on each stereo channel there is a possibility that they'll cancel each other out or at least not work in unison.
Use the mids and tweeters for stereo separation.

Mono amps : Subs/high power mids.
2 channel/4 channel: Mids, tweets and on tri mode amps also a sub, but only on the dedicated channel.
