i got some bonnet lifters for my corsa b today and i have fitted the bolts. but when it comes to fitting the actaully lifter they seem to sit into the engine and i have to bend them quite a bit to reach the other bolt. is this normal, and help wanted.

to the bottom one on the bonnet arm and the 3rd one down on the wing

well what do you mean they sit into the engine bay?? They should'nt bend in any way just compress them a little and force the ends into the cups.
