was driving down a narrowish road, and this learner in a megane took my nicely painted wingmirror off (had full respray a week ago), it was just hanging on by a thread, looked snapped and there was a stinking mark.
as u can imagine i was mega pissed off when he just carried on going after i slammed my horn on, he knew he had hit me.
raced back up the road, and he had sneaked into a restaurant car park and was just leaving. i pulled up along side, and sed "did you just crash into my car? and the passenger said no we have just been for a meal" then drove off
only had a partial index, i may be able to get the guys numberplate off cttv from the shopping centre, is it worth chasing it up? the police aren't going to be bothered are they?
i have managed to fix the mirror, just the paintwork needs sorting, which i can probably get done for peanuts, im just thinking this learner prob wasnt insured on the car, and they left the scene of an accident which is illegal.
sorry bout the essay

Wouldnt waste your time. I guess it popped off from the two pins and you popped it back in?

yeah, just pissed me off that they wouldnt admit what they had done, and they nearly took the whole side of my car off, just want the satisfaction of teaching them a lesson

personally i wouldnt bother, but i would be extrememly pissed off that they drove off and didnt admit to it and i would have chased after them and got CCTV footage for the numberplate just to teach them wankers a lesson

therefore like purple said, i would report them

shame u couldnt have blocked them from driving off and got out cuz u cud have checked the wing mirrors for traces of paint from your car on his!

I know thats kinda drastic action but at the end of the day it might have got u a fair result in the matter.

Hope u get it sorted quickly and cheaply!

I would be glad to see this person get done for a load of shit. I'd have followed them home, if they tried to speed off I'd know I could keep up - well at least in a few weeks I will

at the end of the day if they're learners you'd be able to keep up with them no matter what you're driving!!

1.2 8v, I think not. When I was a learner I was already pretty good anyway, having driven a motorbike for a year beforehand...

I have to pull my wing mirrors in to get onto my drive. Some dodgy builders build the bloody things to small Because i do it everyday there are a few scratches on them as it's so tight (about half an inch either side), bit of a pain really and otherwise hard to park. One of my mirrors in now broken sue to wear.

That learner is a bit of a fucker, s/he should have stopped. If they have no insurance then i would report the twats. It is unfair that we all pay insurance for are motors and these fuckers are getting away with jack shit
