Im thinking about buying a new alpine headunit. Ive been looking on the alpine website lots, and i really like the cde-9828 rb, cda-9833 and the expensive cda-9835 r.
Has anyone got any of those models.
Does it sound good? And are all the features good?
If anyone has the cda-9835 r does it flip over well so its completely black so no thieves can see it?
Cheers Ness

I really want to buy the cda-9835 r Has anyone got this headunit, is it well worth the money? I mainly want it cos it plays mp3's and has i personalize and data download. Can i download some nice graphics for it?
I really want it to have a removable face off, or if its a flip face does it completely flip over so thieves can't tell ive got one.
Please help, cos i really want to buy one this week!
Cheers Ness.

any Alpine Head Unit is worth the money IMHO. Go for the 9812rb if you dont wanna spend an arm and a leg

I really like the 9812RB even though it doesn't have i personalize or data download. RussSxi does this model have a detachable face off? Does it display the artist and track name when playing cd's and mp3's?

Alpine CDA9835R (Face Off)
picture in last post
(Face Off) means the face comes off and can be placed in a bag or poket...
it plays MP3 but I would of fort you would of got one that plays MP3 and WMA like the Jvc KDSHX701 (picture in last post), and it can have changable pictures and animations in lovly 256 colours...
EDIT: sorry the Alpine CDA9835R dose play WMA thats windows Media Audio, smaller than MP3 but better sound... so more tunes on 1 CD

I do really like the jvc headunit, but i don't think jvc headunits sound as good as alpine ones, and i need to buy an alpine one cos i need it to connect to my alpine mp3 changer. And ive decided to stick with alpine for all my speakers and subs etc.

Nessi get the Alpine CDA9835R if your staying with alpine the stay with it normally systems work better with same branded component's plus it dose play WMA which is allot better as its free to convert all your CD's to WMA if you have windows media player 7+
I just like the bright colours on the JVC one I like cool looking things with bright colours on them... dont like bright coloured cars thow
also JVC one looks easyer to use I dont want to get
