just getting ready to drop 1.6 16v into my 1.4 16v.
1. Can i use my old driveshafts?
2. Will the loom be the same?

also is X14XE ecu the same or different to x16xe one?

If possible you should use the hubs and driveshafts from the car the engine came out of. When fitting the engine you need to wire it in using the 1.6 wiring loom and ECU - it will be a complete straight swap... (though if you are keeping the original gearbox off of the 1.4 you can keep the hubs and driveshats).

ive got everything driveshafts, ecu loom etc etc but i have been told that x14xe loom is same as x16xe and also that driveshafts etc are also the same.
oh an ill be using the f15 g'box out the 1.6 sport

use the loom that came with the new engine
its not hard to change

looms are the same, as are drive shafts, ECU needs changing, this is if the engine is a X16XE, if ya putting the C16XE in loom will need to be changed

no new engine is a x16xe so im guna just change engine, gearbox, ecu then.
