I don't get it.

Sometime I can go out on a weekend night, have 7 or 8 pints and then feel pretty shitty the next morning. Why is it then that yesterday me and the lads went to a pub garden at 12 for a pub lunch and a few beers, which later turned into quite a few beers a bus to a livelier pub in the evening then a cab to a club, totalling 13 hours drinking time and about 15 pints and a few of shots.

I woke up at 7am this morning feeling fine and am in work now. Suspect I will feel it later on but I thought that amount would have me spewing for days!

I have no idea. I go out and drink shit loads, sometimes I can't even walk and I wake up pissed in the morning - yet I never have hangovers... Hmmm, I think they are an urban legend.

A hangover, ie headache etc, is bought on by the dehidrating qualities of alcohol, if you drink allot of fluids before a session you will feel better, if you drink hardly and non alcoholic fluids you will feel worse.

nearly right...

alcohol dehidrates your system causing the brain to shrink... like a apple does if you leave it in the sun. the shrinking brain pulls on tendants that keep your brain in your head heance the headaches...
lower blood sugar levels also due to exessive alcohol consuption leads to feeling hungry (ie fried breakfasts)...

best thing you can do is

1, as said b4 drink about 2-3 pints of water b4 going to bed
2, drink orange juice when you eventualy wake up (high in vitamin c)

learnt all that on body hits last night...

who said tv wasn't educational...

well over the limit this morning then on the drive to work.

i figured out what gives me hangovers.

any amount of beks makes me feel sick for a day.
vodka makes me shake the day after
more than 7-8pints of lager makes me ill if i dont drink water when i get home.

best thing is jack daniels or sothern comfort. drink bottle soff the stuff, get shit faced, feel fine in the moringing, well still pissed but no hangover.
