Would it be a good or bad idea to have a car converted so it was totally keyless? I.E. no locks on the doors and no key for the ignition... Instead having the whole lot running off of an alarm using cetral locking and intelistart or whatever it's called... Flat battarys aren't an issue if you use your head... I was wondering if people had any ideas about the steering lock, i'm guessing you'd have to use a stop lock instead of the built in steering lock...

you'd have to have a virtualkey type immobiliser. where it disarms when you bring an electronic transponder tag into proximity of a reciever somewhere near the ignition.
suppose you could disable the steering lock somehow.

intellistart only works wen the car is idleing, not sure how ur gona get around that one, i would defo get de-handled doors as im gona get these wen i get my respray, jus worried the fuse in the central locking or door poppers decides to give way!

apart from your cat one alarm/imob get a cat 3 immobiliser and wire it to your ignition so that it switches your ignition on whilst the fob is in the socket. then have a push button start.
