i dont really know wut am talking bout.... right.. am getting a new engine which is a 1.4 16v but it dusnt cum wit an ECU... and i cannot use my current 1.4 16v ECU as it broke... so i gotta find a one.. ive found one and i've asked the lad if it has the chip for the igntion key and a transponder wut ever tht is.... (got told i need one) and the person i might be gettign a ECU off asked is the transponder was in the ECU its self... sorry if it dont make sence

transponder is the chip in the key casing.
there is a reciever ring that sits around the ignition barrel that intercepts the signal, and passes it to the immobiliser or ecu (trace the wires)
