once you get a 2litre conversion what exhausts are there available? i assume any backbox for the corsa would still be suitable but what about the exhaust manifold and centre section, has this got to be custom made?

You need to get the exhaust mated to the manifold. Best go get a custom exhaust made or DIY if you know what your doing...

so will a 2.5" system fit straight onto a standard manifold or do you have to have one the same size bore???

I wouldn't say it needs to be the same bore, but somewhere between the two you'll need a reducer section to take the size down to whichever's smaller.

If the std manifold is restrictive, then gains can be had by fitting a larger bore manifold.
A custom one should have better tuned lengths too, so if you could have it made to your specification.

Good places:
Tony Law Exhausts
BTB
few other places

explain the situation if you get pulled over. sure they'd understand if you said it was booked in and you were on the way to an exhaust place to get it sorted.

i've been driving mine with just the manifold on this week. only had to do a few short journeys, but i have to take itfor a half hour run tomorrow to get a custom cat pipe made up.
had a woman cover her kids ears as i drove past yesterday.
