If thats the nova engine then they appear very tuneable read this months total vaux

Realtivley tunable, 120-130BHP is the sensible limit to get to, then it's expensive
The 16V engine is a better place to start from really, and the inital extra cost soon cancels out.

I have a corsa GSi and nova GSi, the nova feels quicker at low revs due to it being 8v but soon runs out of steam where as the corsa keeps pulling right through the revs. Go for the C16xe you won't regret it.
