my car has done 139k  and im just about to do another oil change ready for the winter. i'm using 10-40 oil from vauxhall but wots the best oil additive to use to make the car run smoother and last longer.

additives are a bit of a scam...... just add clean oil
You may want to flush out the engine with some 'cheaper' oil before filling up again tho.... to try and ensure that all the old 'worn' oil is out...
change the oil filter and plugs too..... clean the air filter

don;t put anything in. continue to use the oil unless it's using more than normal. you could maybe step up to a thinker oil

just keep the oil changes regular and it should last 
on my cars i change every 3-4K to keep things sweet. I feel leaving oil in for 10K the way i drive would cause more damage than changing it more frequently
