still slower than mine thought
would be
wanna street race down a sidestreet with kids comin outta school?
could be fun
the adrenaline rush outweighs the deaths
Now your just being stupid, it IS stupid to race on streets like the way you've just described BUT not in a 60 with hardly any traffic
not sayin that tho am i
depends on time of day, traffic, conditions etc etc
i dont agree with racing at all during the day on roads with cars
its irresponsible
Just wait till you have your 2ltr fitted, I think you will be eating your words

When your out on the road you'll know when its safe to race and when its not. in some places its fine, you just need to know when to stop. some people just go mental when there racing, espiecially people in nova's and 205's

RSTRich - my points on the matter:-
1) I can't wait to hear that he's in prison because a minor bounced off his wndscreen.
2) I know it doesn't happen like this but this is why people have track days, the adrenalin's not worth it, if it's that you're after take up parachuting
3) After spending a grand on getting the engine rebuilt on the car wtf am I going to try and blow it up for :S
4) After coming very close to a losing a friend in an evo to a tree (it doesn't matter what time it is, trees are still there) and this was in a straight line, Tom, if you ever attend any of the Birkenhead Cruise meet's it was when Jatz wrote his Evo off. he swerved to avoid someone walking over the street and this was on a planned street race with reps at either end.... my point being it can happen anywhere anytime, racing on the streets is not big, not clever and people will end up dead from it, be it you or someone who's bladdered and thought it would be quicker to walk home from the pub through the backroads, it happens, but unfortunately that's life.
As to what's the point in modding cars if you aren't going to race them, you could also ask the question, what's the point in making anything capable of more than 70mph, it's about knowing you could if you wanted to, not necessarily driving with a lead foot.
for those interested here's the RR figures.

For the record i've raced against a 200bhp FSRT and kept on its bumper up to 100mph so I think a orion with less would be alot closer

dont know about the rover but it defo weighs more than a corsa which iirc is 1140 kgs?
No a corsa 3dr weighs between 925 and 980kg depending on spec. Rover 25 aint 1400kg either more like between 1000 and 1100kg. Also, Orions are pretty light.

any sort of street racing is only done by total dickheads. leave it till track days, where it is safe and controlled, or leave it to the professionals. i dont respect anyone who puts anyone else's life in danger to show off. its sad and shallow, and for christ sake if you must boast about ur cars at least get a decent car, not a crappy Rover 25 or Orion
thats my rant for today anyway
