please help i've changed all sensors including the ecu its not an air leak either so can this be pluged in as its in a corsa?? whats the better way of going about this any help at all would be great

hi mate normally it is the airflow meter under the inlet if u got a hanyes it will tell u how to clean it lol or it is the lil black box on the air hose from the filter if u know what i mean but it prob is the meter as mine does this

the black box is the air flow meter and the bit under the inlet is the idle control valve but yeh i know what you mean but no i have tried these both

the air flow meter is just after the air filter, you mean the idle air control valve

no the small black box on the air in take hose after the air box (k & n) is an airflow meter

will a fault code come up even if the ecu light is not on??

is the idea air control valve stuck open?


the pipe which comes in from the left take it off and block it with your finger and see if it helps

have u checked the IACV? cleaned it and tested it

well try what i said above, with putting finger over the pipe

then take it off (abit of a pain as at back of engine) clean it, replace it, see of its opening and closing, see if its got a voltage etc etc

will try it but dont think this is the prob do you know if there will be a code if the ecu light is not on?

if the ECU light is not on (depending weather its been wired in) then all sensors are fine and will be no codes.

tryed what i said, as thats a common falt, the IACV sticking open, and there will not be a Error code if it has

when cold it idles at 1000 (normal i think) when hot its at 1250 1300 and its not the colent sendor

try the lambda sensor, i'm sure this might have been my problem, try runing around for a few days with it unplugged, i think i unpluged mine and it in turn put my ecu light on however my idle dropped to about 1k and it was so much better on fuel, like i said it was a long time ago though and can't remember exactly
