Would be possible in theory. You need a new inlet manifold to clear the steering rack. The hubs and shafts can be used from the donor car, or you could probably use 2.0 16v stuff seeing as I think you would use an F20 gearbox. Ask Beardy for more info though...

. the donor car will be a MK3 cav, but the hubs are 5 stud on them.
would a 2.2 ecotec go in easier?

isn't the inlet in the centre of v6's ??
never studied one that closely, but i thought that would have made more sense.

The comba Van will not work for the main reason of the Engine mount on the Drivers side, you really need a 16v shell really, as the D mount sits to far out and to far back makeing a engine mount to fit and be strong would be a mission on its self. the mount would have to be about a foot long. your would also have to cut the D mount off coming to think of it anyway as will be in the way of the engine and where it sits and converting a D into a Petrol isent to easy eather.
what else would your need
engine
F20 Gearbox
F20/2lt 16v Flywheel and clutch
Loom
ECU
Shafts (If your using standard Cav shafts will need to get a Custom Toq Spacer made for the gearbox)
Hubs
16v rad
16v fuel pump
V6 Header Tank
Custom Engine mount
Front and rear manifolds (this is the money spended Baring in mind a off the shelf manifold is like £150-200)
how long would a conversion roughly take (weekend?)
this isent a throw in job and it will take u ...............................
2lt 16v and 2lt 16v turbos can take a weekend but this is the hardest converstion out of them all, an will take u abit longer.
only ever done one D to P i fitted a 2lt 16v into a 1.5D and was a total nightmare.
before jumping into fitting the V6 find somwhere to do the manifolds as its a Massive job to make the rear one (take me 4 hours just to unbolt it)
think about all this its mad to find you can not fit every XE engine into a Corsa
Myke - your thinking of the Newer Ecotec version mate
